Its a bit flimsy but eh.įighting for some lady still doesnt change the fact that you trained with your family, that's what I am saying. What the game is trying to get at in that time is that you winning the tournament was unlikely since all these nobles you're facing have trained their whole lives with a sword and it was only due to your father's training that you manage to barely win. Whereas if you fight for some lady your only thinking about impressing them and not your training. Fighting for your father also has you dodge a lunge that wouldve otherwise hit you because you remembered what your dad taught you. Its also understandable that you would be at a disadvantage no matter how high your valor is since the nobles you face in the tournament have trained their whole lives with a sword while you at best only had a few years or months at the college.
